my goodness me it's been a while since i last posted on here ... how is everyone?
starting back at uni has been (as always) crazy busy and full of alsorts of fun ... :)
drama society has kicked off big stylee this year and has a huge response from freshers and non freshers alike
my house is fine and apart from a few teething problems we're settled in ok (apart from the damp)
working at lush is good and bad .... loads of the girls had their purses stole yesterday by a random person who went upstairs *shocking*
what else what else> I've sent out letters to karin and Igla .... :)

Heylo .... so I'm back from Romania (and only on the new for a few minutes before I head out for a family get together type thing).
It was amazing .... so much fun but so heartbreaking at the same time! There were thousands of photo's taken over the 2 weeks ... so I'll upload some maybe tomorrow :) Possibily the cutest kids ever! I really wanted to stay there and look after them though!

Lexi and Erika I recieved your letters :) Lexi ... yours was ripped open down the side again ... I recieved the letters, 2 teabags and some notepaper ... was that all you put in or has stuff been stolen? :( Silly postman!

I've got a couple more days at home and then I move into my new house in York .. so I'll be sure to post my new address in the next couple of days.

Just to let you all know ... I have no internet at the moment (had to get it cut off so that I wasn't paying for it when I'm not living in my house anymore). So if I don't comment, or respond to your comments .... sorry in advance :)
Urgh .. I hate the Uni library .. the computers are soooo slow and they all use internet explorer which, as any good geeky girl will know, is nothing in comparison to the joy that is Firefox *hugs her laptop*
So, I hear you cry, what have you been doing with yourself whilst you've been internetless Miss Emily. Well ... mainly working (oh the joy!). Also:
- being taken out for lunch by my lovely friend Rosey to cheer me up on a rather stressful day :)
- meeting up with my friend Vanessa for dinner and then going to watch Shakespeare's "As you like it" in the Minster Gardens (and also freezing to death because it was bloody cold!!)
- being kept awake until stupid o clock 2 nights in a row ... night 1 because of the return of the Brazilians and night 2 because of yet another party right outside my window (pretty much)
- recieving lovely mail from Ilga and Kaatje which made me smile lots and lots :)
- eating lots of crap and not really looking after myself very well *naughty emily*
- contemplating when I'm going to have the chance to do all the things that I have to do before I move out!!!

So lots and nothing at all :)

oh my goodness thank you so much for all the lovely tinkerbell goodies miss ilga!!! Your letter got here so quickly :) Can't wait to start writing to you again heheh :)

I have become obsessed with the song "Don't Stop Me Now" by Queen (and also the Mcfly cover ... because McFly are just too much fun for me not to like them). I listen to it at least once a day ... preferrabley more..... ^__^

I actually have a day off today .... which is pure joy ... although my shifts over the next week and a half actually are ridiculous. But hey ho nevermind.

I went to to a bbq last night where I played team chess .... and won! And I won scrabble (which I played against my friend Peter in the Starbucks in Boarders) :) So a fun day of boardgames for me. And yesterday we had a lock in at work where we had to scrub the floor.

Has anyone heard The Puppini Sisters yet? I love them ... because I was obviously born into the wrong era. :) So much loveliness.

Well, I've offically done 5 out of my 6 day block of shifts at Lush ... my goodness I'm going to be happy when it's Wednesday - I might actually manage to go a whole day without entering the centre of York. Lovely though it is, one can only see the same shops a certain number of times before you start to go mad. And the tourists .... ohhh the tourists! They are so confused ... bless them.

But in other news I had a lot of fun buying things from this shop (www.blossomandwalker.co.uk) and also from Whittards in their sale. I managed to pick up an Alice in Wonderland teapot and also handmade biscuits in an Alice in Wonderland tin (amongst other things). So that made me very happy indeed :) I'm currently trying to make sure that my room in my new house will a) be beautiful and b) be organised. My room this year was so unorganised (I never actually finished unpacking all my stuff) and it go to messy and cluttered and full of stuff which had no home. So I'm starting early and making sure that everything will have a home and that everything will be pretty as well :) Storing things in brown cardboard boxes is soooo not a good look!

Karin, I haven't sent your letter yet, mainly because I haven't actually had a chance. All my free time  has been after the Post Office is open, and trying to get there on lunch breaks is just silliness, so I shall post it tomorrow hopefully :)

Okay so I seem to be spending far too much time on the internet at the moment ... does anyone have any good, inspiring websites that they can recommend me?

It's raining!

The one day I decide to go out for a picnic it rains most of the day! However me and Miss faerystar had a wonderful time eating veggie sushi, blueberries and strawberries under a tree by the river and watching the ducks enjoying the rain. And then it got really rainy so we had to go back to michaela's house which is quite simpley adorable!! :) Finally, the sun came out (although there was time for freshly brewed coffee and fairy cakes before leaving the house) and we ambled back into town to wander round all the pretty shops! Which was lovely :)

And now I'm sat at home, and it's raining again, and I'm feeling rather hungry.

My house is in such desperate need of cleaning but I can't be bothered. :( But I should because when it's messy I get lazy and don't want to do anything!!

So I guess this evening will be a cleaning evening. *sigh*

last night it rained. and i love the fact that most people won't even know that because they'll have been asleep and now it's all sunny and blue skies and fluffly white clouds :)

the plants on my windowsill are slowly being nursed back to health after weeks of neglect because I'ev been so busy!

What else, what else? oooo I found my usb computer to mobile link thingy so I might post some pictures later on :)

Things that make me happy:
- eating at little italy
- getting back in contact with an old friend of mine (who I love dearly)
- talking to penpals online
- the book "stargirl" by jerry spinelli
- myspace (i'm an addict)
- reaaaaallly long emails
- playing some of my favourite classical music on the flute

my house is full of brazilian females ... over half of whom i've never met.

issues ..... i have something like £20 to live on for the next few weeks

woah .... this is ever so slightly crazy ... for the first time in over 2 months I have no purpose ... I don't have to think about planning lessons, or waking up for placement or the fantastically amazing act of being on mission around my city. Instead I can wake up at whatever time I like and do ... nothing.

It's pretty dull really.

Just had an amazing 2 weeks of flyering, cafe running, talking to random people, giving out free tea to drunk people, taking out sandwhiches to homeless people, being useful, learning and general goodtimes. :)

how is everyone?

also natz and ilga you said you were sending me mail but it's not arrived .... just wondering if it's a problem my side of postal service (which it probably is) :)
